The SpeedMinder™ is designed to slow traffic to a preset limit, by continually displaying the oncoming vehicle speed as they approach. Studies have shown that most drivers will respond to these monitors by slowing almost immediately. 

These highly visible units record and display vehicle speed on a bright LED (13inx11in) 325mmx275mm display panel, mounted on top of a portable frame just (43in) 533mm high, and weighing just (35lbs) 16kilos.

The SpeedMinder™ operates on a 12v 20amph internal rechargeable battery, and is designed to work from 2/5days between charges. (*Depending on the amount of traffic being monitored) The system uses approved ‘K’ band Doppler radar with DSP (digital signal processing) that can detect oncoming vehicle speeds of between 8 and 99mph, using solid state technology it accurately records these within +/-1mph. *Operating time based on traffic of 30 to 50 cars per hour over 10Hr time periods.

The SpeedMinder™ also incorporates a unique traffic SpeedMinder data recording system. This allows you to preset the speed at which you require the unit to operate, and has the ability record and store the following information on a small LCD window with touch panel controls, located at the back of the machine. On the CR100 model, the brightly illuminated LED speed indicator has been designed to display the speed in bright STEADY GREEN - LED numbers, when the driver is at or below the preset limit, but this changes to FLASHING - RED as soon the speed is exceeded. The SpeedMinder has an effective range of approx. 130 to 200Mtrs depending on the size of target vehicle.

The SpeedMinder™ also incorporates a photocell that will control the brightness of the display during darker conditions, it will dim the display automatically to avoid driver glare.
